Insight Global is seeking Hardware Soldering Technicians in the greater Sacramento, CA area to support a critical government project supporting ongoing semiconductor manufacturing and production efforts. This individual will be responsible for playing a key role in the manufacturing of microelectronics and wafer production in an operational capacity, playing a hands-on role to support mission-critical, legacy and leading-edge programs. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated background in the semiconductor space and will hold relevant electronics industry certifications. Additional responsibilities include:Perform work assignments involving complex assembly of electronic and mechanical devices, solder/de solder rework, connector repair, SMT, thru hole components, and BGA assistance. Carry out work assignments in accordance with assembly instructions, specifications, and diagrams. Conduct troubleshooting of printed circuit boards (PCB), power supplies, and cable harnesses. Satisfy all established requirements as defined by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), IPC, J, and ISO standards. Execute testing and verification of electronic and electro mechanical assemblies and sub assemblies. Perform routine data entry within the production Work Request System or equivalent project tracking system. Prepare accurate, document controlled quality records and documentation related to work in progress, ensuring timely and complete submission. Support equipment engineers and technicians with routine laboratory equipment services. Provide minor lab assistance including, but not limited to, inventory management tasks, raw materials support, preventive equipment/tool maintenance, lab infrastructure, escorting tool vendors, and general laboratory upkeep. An environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities is looking to bring on a Process Piping Designer. As part of the Process Mechanical team, you will work on projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, as well as private sector industrial facility projects, with the primary purpose of creating sustainable and resilient water supplies for the world. You will specifically support the PSG (Private Sector Group), that specializes in support of high-tech industries including but not limited to Semiconductor, Oil and Gas, and Data Center. This person will be responsible for a variety of project elements, including drafting, design, checking, and both 2D and 3D drawings. To integrate into the team efficiently, this person will need to be proficient in Revit. This person will need a general understanding of BIM as it relates to process mechanical design for piping, valves and equipment, preferably with some knowledge of Navisworks Manage. Piping design skills, including an understanding of spacing, pipe racks, a variety of piping materials, and clash free designs is preferred. This role will be a 6-month contract-to-hire model, with the primary goal being a permanent conversion. This role can pay anywhere between $35-$55/hr, with permanent conversion salary coming in at or above that rate.
